1. Kiera begins this movement by dropping her right leg to the mat, keeping her left leg bent and her arms in a strong defensive position.

2. Kiera lifts her hips off the ground by pushing off with her left leg. At the same time she begins to roll to the right supporting her weight with her right shoulder.

3. Kiera scoots her hips away from her hands. She is able to accomplish this by pushing off her left foot and pushing with her hands in the opposite direction of her hips.

4. Kiera pushes until her legs reach full extension, maintaining the strength in her arms as they are locked at full extension as well.

5. Kiera finishes the movement by replacing her guard, maintaining a solid defensive position.

1. Noah starts with Kiera in his closed guard.

2. With Kiera sitting back, Noah uncrosses his legs and shoots his body up reaching over Kiera’s left shoulder, controlling her arm with triceps control.
Note: Notice how Noah’s right arm is fully extended and his hips are tight to Kiera’s body. This will allow for Noah to explode his hips into Kiera in the next step.

3. Pushing off the floor Noah explodes his hips up into Kiera. As Kiera starts to lose her balance Noah turns to his right using his grip on Kiera’s elbow to pull her over.

4. Noah completes the sweep and immediately establishes a solid base.

5. Noah finishes in the mount position and begins to look for a submission.

1. Noah has control of Kiera’s arm in his closed guard. He will attack Kiera’s right arm.
2. Noah unlocks his guard and places his left foot on Kiera’s hip. Noah must remember to keep his left knee placed firmly against Kiera’s shoulder applying pressure. *Note: Noah’s right leg must remain tight on Kiera’s back in order to proceed to the next step.

3. Noah will push off with his left foot, keeping his left knee tight to Kiera’s shoulder. At the same time he will escape his hips to the left and slide his right leg up and towards Kiera’s armpit, placing his calf over Kiera’s left shoulder blade. Also note that Noah is pressing his heel towards the ground to maintain pressure on Kiera’s back preventing her from regaining posture.

4. Maintaining downward pressure, Noah let’s go of Kiera’s gi with his left hand and pushes her head as far away from him as possible. Noah then swings his left leg around Kiera’s head using downward
pressure with both of his heels to control her posture, squeezing his knees together and elevating his hips for the submission.
